Jim Eaglesmith, Pete Fairley, and the Beloved Choir explore chants from around the world, inviting audience participation in a call-and-response format. The musical style is inspired by Kirtans, which are Hindu devotional songs aimed at uniting the singers with the divine. Jimiji expands our repertoire beyond traditional Hindu chants to include Buddhist, Hebrew, Native American, Christian, Islamic, and his own original compositions that emphasize the underlying oneness of all humanity and all creation.

Satsangs with Swami Rishi

Swami Rishi from Pune, India visits California and northern Nevada each year in the summer. While here, he leads satsangs, "Divine Gatherings," which feature inspirational stories and traditional kirtans. Pete Fairley of MeadowRock Percussion and Jim Eaglesmith accompany Swamiji on tabla and guitar, respectively. These inspiration gatherings are open to everyone, and donations from them are used to help feed the poor in India. Click here for more information about Swami Rishi's work.
